Personal service and craftsmanship remain central in a consolidating lift sector
Amsterdam, 19 December 2025 – Elite Liften & Roltrappen, a portfolio company of Karmijn Kapitaal since 2023, has acquired Van Noort Liften. With this acquisition, the company takes an important step in executing its growth strategy. By adding Van Noort’s high-quality lift portfolio and experienced engineers, Elite strengthens its service capacity and modernisation capabilities within the Randstad region. Nothing will change for Van Noort’s customers: the same quality and personal attention, now supported by a larger team and broader expertise from a single location in Nootdorp.
Elite Liften & Roltrappen specialises in the maintenance, repair, modernisation and breakdown services of lifts throughout the Netherlands, with a strong focus on the Randstad. The company distinguishes itself through high-quality, personal service for all lift owners, ranging from private individuals, housing associations and owners’ associations to healthcare institutions and commercial real estate. Elite focuses on long-term customer relationships and reliable service delivery, carried out by its own engineers. By investing in the development of craftsmanship and retaining experienced technicians, Elite contributes to the continuity of an essential service within the built environment.
Hans van Spronsen, Managing Director of Elite Liften & Roltrappen, comments:
“Van Noort Liften is a perfect fit with what we do. They are skilled specialists with an excellent reputation and a portfolio they can rightly be proud of. Like us, they believe in personal service and sustainable customer relationships. By joining forces, we can serve our customers even better: more engineers in the region mean faster response times in the event of breakdowns and greater capacity for modernisation projects. At the same time, we can continue to invest in the development of our team. We are delighted to welcome the Van Noort team.”
Van Noort Liften, founded in 2011 by Peter van Noort, operates in the same region as Elite and provides similar services: maintenance, repair, modernisation and breakdown services. The company has built a solid reputation based on reliable service and technical expertise. After many years of dedication, Peter van Noort has decided to focus on other activities and has transferred his business to Elite.
Peter van Noort adds:
“The most important thing for me was to find a good home for my employees and customers. Elite shares the same values when it comes to quality and personal commitment. I am confident that my people and customers are in good hands.”
The Dutch lift sector is characterised by increasing consolidation. Many small, local players are being acquired by larger companies that can offer economies of scale and a broader range of services. With Karmijn Kapitaal’s investment in Elite in 2023, Karmijn entered a consolidating growth market. Lifts are crucial for the accessibility of buildings, particularly for older people and people with disabilities. By investing in quality, modernisation and rapid recovery in the event of breakdowns, Elite contributes to an inclusive built environment.
Nicole Zomerhuis, Investment Manager at Karmijn Kapitaal, states:
“Elite has a clear vision for growth: not simply becoming bigger, but growing smarter by adding quality and capacity where it is already strong. Van Noort is an excellent example of this. We are pleased to take this next step with Hans and his team and look forward to the continued execution of the growth strategy in the coming period.”
The transaction was legally advised by De Breij Advocaten, financially supported by Newtone Partners and debt advisory supported by Oryx Partners on behalf of Elite. Van Noort Liften was advised by sell-side advisor Van Wezel Corporate Finance.
