Orona Acquires Up and Strengthens Position in the Dutch Elevator Market
Amsterdam, 9 June 2026 – Up B.V. ("UP"), the group behind Elite Liften & Roltrappen and Van Noort Liften, has been acquired by Orona, one of Europe’s largest independent elevator companies. With this acquisition, Orona takes an important step in its ambition to further expand its presence in the Netherlands.
UP was formed following Karmijn Kapitaal’s investment in Elite Liften & Roltrappen in 2024. The addition of Van Noort Liften in 2025 created a strong group of specialized elevator companies. Both businesses retained their own brand identity, culture, and customer relationships, while benefiting from shared investments in growth, professionalization, and scale.
Elite Liften & Roltrappen and Van Noort Liften are active in elevator maintenance, repair, modernization, and emergency breakdown services. Together, the companies serve a broad customer base, including housing associations, homeowners’ associations (HOAs), healthcare institutions, and commercial real estate owners. They have built a strong reputation for quality, service, and craftsmanship.
The combination of Elite and Van Noort’s strong local market positions with Orona’s international expertise and scale creates a solid platform for further growth in the Dutch market.
Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
